Only Building Hospital is Not Enough, It’s Necessary to Produce Doctors: Health Minister Paudel

Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel has said that it is not enough to just build a hospital, but it is necessary to produce capable doctors who can provide treatment.

Addressing the fifth convocation ceremony of the National Academy of Medical Sciences in Kathmandu on Monday, Health Minister Poudel said that although human resources have been produced, the hospitals are not getting the manpower they need. He said that while there is a situation of survival within the valley, some health institutions outside the valley are in a state of emptiness.

Health Minister Poudel said that it is necessary to make a commitment to serve outside the valley to contribute to one’s region. He said that it is necessary to create a broader area and make policy arrangements for the advancement of human resources. He said that even if the required salary cannot be paid, it is necessary to arrange salary facilities that are sufficient to live on.

Health Minister Poudel said that the hospital and the ministry were built for the citizens and that it was necessary to create an environment that would be convenient for the citizens. He said that the government is working to ensure that no one is deprived of medical services.
